ALT Fest 2026

❖ March 13th, 2026❖

Our largest deployment yet, we created 8 separate areas that were staffed by 14 volunteers for just 4 hours while we entertained a 7,000 person crowd!

The False Childhood Memories section included multiple ways for you to tell your own story, including the ‘Fairy Fence’, ‘Edison Phone’, and ‘Whisper Ear’, a giant cardboard TV, and a variety of the FCM virtual pieces on display.

The ‘Zither from Nothing and Music for Free’ section featured a wonderful collaboration towards the creation of 400 musical instruments using only a ruler, a rubber band, and a plastic cup.

We featured ‘Please Don’t Lick the Art’, a series of 7 paintings upcycled into a multi-sensory experience of miniature and olfactory delight wrapped up in words.

‘Regrets and Gratitudes’ evolved into a fountain and pagoda, respectively, keeping the spirit of the interactive piece, and encasing it in a glass-headed heart fountain alongside the basket and maypole-woven pagoda containing the elephant of gratitude.
